Alan graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Riverside, with a degree in Business Administration. He went on to law school at the University of Kentucky, where he graduated in the top 20% of his class and received special recognition in Environmental Law (CALI Excellence for the Future Award). 

He has worked for the KY Court of Appeals, The Tennessee Department of Revenue, and some of the biggest personal injury and Social Security Disability firms in the Southeast, in addition to the Law Offices of Alan Lani.
